The Boyz decided its time to pull the Avanti from behind the shed and make it shine.
Split camp, fantasy Tran Am or return it to showroom glory?
Thoughts???

The Avanti is in pretty good shape, and the Boyz have a Trans AM 69 Mustang chassis and motor that fits perfect and will allow it to run pretty close to the other Trans Am's or just be a smooth street cruiser if that is its fate.

Been reading alot about the history, your right fiberglass that caused them lots of problems in production.
Thinking that Hawk 289 could cause a lot of trouble for the Camaro's and Mustangs!!!
Yes it is 1/32.

The R4 motor that made the Avanti the speedster that it was got it's power from a pair of Paxton superchargers. I do not think that was permitted in Trans-Am racing. But this is fantasy, so we'll just make it so.
A good friend of mine ran a shop that specialized in tuning Avantis. Lots of customers dropped their cars off for his touch on their cars. Pretty slick cars.

Ran into this very cool guy who also converted statics into slot cars in his past told me he had this and a Amx 390 at home he would be honoured to have them converted at a toy show booth.
I am thinking about displaying the box it is so cool!
