Well, I had to do this. We needed a good start on some Indy car bodies, and I think this one will be a good one. Got a mold made last night, and as soon as my resin gets here, I will pull the first one and see how it came out. After doing a little tire and wheel size experimenting, it looks like CB 17x8 rear, and 15x7 front's will work nicely, and be proper scale for these.I may try the PG 22mm rear tires yet. Should be a ton of livery's to apply to these cars. I still have two more cars to mold after this one, so there will be a field of Watson, Novi, and Kurtis cars.

Although I have a few Indy Roadsters already - if you are offering these I would be interested in getting a couple.
You probably already know about Indycal for decals :)
This is a good article on wheel sizes for the roadsters

Thanks for that link David, it is a big help! As soon as I get these cast like I want them, I will give you a shout.
And yes, Indycal will be tired of hearing from me im sure.
Post some pics of your Indy cars, I always have loved your work, and I don't think I have seen them.

Looking good Bob.
When your up and running, I'd be keen to have a go at a build.

Beautiful work. I would be interested in at least one each and probably more than that of the Watson and Novi. Duke Nalon used to stop into my Dad's shop occasionally.

Black and gold? One of the first ones I did in 1/24 scale. I still have about 3 more I want to build. The Rodger Ward Leader Card special from 61, the Konstantcool special, 63 or 64 and the AJ Sheraton Thompson Kuzma that he ran on dirt. My molds came from the old AMT kit and ecals from Indycals. I run Dynamic inline chassis with Plafit Fox motors. I was running tall, 7/16 by 1 1/8 inch silicones, but the grip and height made them pretty hard to handle. I talked to my race bunch and we decided to sacrifice some scale to run the stickier pro trac silicones.
I love the look of these cars, but am only going to do 3 more, not all of them I would like to have, but how many does a guy really need.

Thanks David, I pulled the first body at lunch today. Smooth, and no air holes. so it should be OK for our needs.
