Thought I would try something different from what I normally do since I just got myself a new printer. Since I can't solder and not much better at cutting the Brass to the right length I went straight to the Inventor. First I fitted a Piranha motor with slot-it gears and flag. I first went with the 15x10 CB Designs wheels and the big 22160FF PG tires.

It looked pretty good on the screen but then the issues started popping up when I printed it out. First I had it modeled up using 1/16 diameter roll cage but I couldn't get it to print out. So I changed that to 3/32 diameter with a base frame of 3/32 x 1/8. Wow, it printed but I forgot to check one small detail, the flag mount was to far to the rear and would allow the axle to pass. So I moved it forward and everything printed good.

It took a little over an hour to print and another hour to clean off the support and brim material. With everything looking good and the bare chassis in at 8.3 grams I sent it off to paint. Once the paint was dry I tossed in the piranha motor, gears, wheels, and tires oh my.

Oh yea, I couldn't resist, I put on 10" drums with rear spring detail and front suspension detail.

now it weighs in at 53 grams. so I couldn't resist and off to the track i went where it turned in some low 9 second laps as long as I could keep it on the track. The 10/27 gearing may have been a little much for this thing.

and now it will take some time but I'll start adding the RMS body to it.

I should be quite a challenge for me now to try and figure out how to add an interior to it while trying to keep the weight down.
