Birdcage Maserati windscreen by Nor Cal Mike
Posted: Tue Mar 10, 2015 6:34 amThought everyone would like to see this, Mike had made a beautiful hardwood buck for the Birdcage windscreen. It is shaped perfectly, and has provisions for mounting built into the design. I was held up on the Vac part till i received the proper PVC clear plastic. Other plastics will work, but the stuff i use is tough as nails, and will withstand hard de-slots.
This was a great joint effort, and it was fun to make. I will be making a few of these to have on hand for our future builds.
Thanks for the Hard part of this project, you did an outstanding job.The photo shows a bit of resin dust on the glass, but it is exceptionally clean, with no stretch marks, a sign of a good mold!
