AMX T/A - running laps at Dundee Speedway!!

The Boyz were "given" this very rough body, what you see is what they got.

They will dig deep into their parts bin to put together a low budget screamer to challenge the other AMX in the garage.

Will use a Pioneer chassis and power plant.

Watching this one! My neighbor had a copper colored one with black stripes and wide 200S mags. I loved that car!

Re: AMX T/A - primer white is main color

Boyz are going to use this "primer white" as their main color and accent with AMC Blue and Red.

They will give the white primer a clear coat finish and no one will ever know!!

Very low budget build, and paint is a big expense!!

The car didn't come with any bumper - lighting, so they will layer on some plastic strips, give them some red paint to mimic the light bar, and they planned on leaving off the bumper anyway!!

Re: AMX T/A - painting done!!

Since this project is so "low budget" the amount of paint in the bottom of the can determined how much exposure each color got on the AMX!!

So this is how it turned out.

The Boyz sure appreciated Dave's offer to ship some AMX parts from Colorado, but they had pulled an all nighter paint party before seeing his generosity, and frankly his parts deserve a better body (the cars not mine) to go too!!!

The body was "free" but someone soldered things to the inside melting the body, hacked off parts of the body, and the actual body was almost soft, very odd getting the paint to adhere.

But if it runs good, it will get hacked up other ways on the track!!

Hank's Speed Shop stepped up with some parts $$$ to get the #9 buttoned up!!

The #9 with its Pioneer power plant and chassis, runs neck and neck to the #66 Scalley powered car!!
