What's the best way to attach a vac formed clear windscreen to a resin-bodied roadster? I assume some sort of glue, but I'm not sure which one and I'd like to do this right first time........if I can. Thanks.

I use two glues
Zap Formula 560 Canopy Glue
and a jewellery glue G-S Hypo Cement - this on comes in a tube with a needle tip dispenser
Both dry clear and don't fog up the glass :)

I use Testor's Clear Parts Cement. It's a white glue that dries clear. It can be used to repair imperfections as well: I bought a used Fly T70 that had a "chunk" missing out of one of the headlight covers....a little bit of this and it's hard to tell it was ever broken.

How quickly do these glues dry? I find that vac formed plastic is both flimsy and has a mind of its own. Do you hold the pieces together while the glue sets up?

I just flip it upside down and put a weight in it. If it needs to be tacked in other spots, I do them after the first attachment is set.

I cut my vac formed glass to fit then dip the glass in future. I dip mine at night then the next night I super glue them to the body. Since I've began doing this i have never had a windshield fog and with the super glue it's stuck within a matter of seconds. Just remember if you cut the windshield after dipping it you'll have to dip it again before gluing or it will fog.

The ONLY glue I use on my glass is Tacky Glue. It is a white craft glue that dries clear, sets quick, and doesn't fog glass.

Thanks for all the information and recommendations. I'm going to try the 560 adhesive. I'll probably tack down the corners and then run a bead after it's set. I'd forgotten how much modeling there is in scratch building......... I'm liking it, though......
