I will try to send you the pics Dave, I have them in a folder at the house PC.
Kev, Years ago, I had an old Altered Drag car that ran a 292 GMC 6 cylinder, it ran 8.90's in the quarter , at a best of 151 MPH.
It was injected, on methanol. That old long rod motor would sing at half track. It was actually bored to a shade over 301 C.I.

Darn Kev!, You are making those bodies look fantastic! What kind of paint are you using?, and i have to ask, where is the guide tongue? or is that a secret?
And yes, sub 9's are crazy fun, going through NHRA Tech at that level is not.

guide will be in front of the radiator on this one.. waiting on D3D order for front carriers..
The green car I just used rattle can Testors enamel..
This one, I used Duplicolor Auto Spray in a 5 oz. rattle can..
You'd laugh if you saw how I am painting.. I don't have a heated garage or basement and I don't want the
stinkiness in office space.. so, after I wash the body and it's dry, I put it (and whatever spray can I'm using) on
top of the fish tank. The heat from the lights warms the body and paint but doesn't make them hot at all..
Then I run up to the very cold attic, spray the body, then run back down with the freshly painted item and
put it on the second shelf of my book case so it has air circulation but is protected from any dust.
I let it dry there for a couple hours and then it's good to go
The maroon coach I'm doing right now has no primer, just 1 medium coat of the Duplicolor over the resin.
I did pick up some clear so if I think it needs it after decals, I can coat it again.. but it looks pretty glossy now.

Wow. Nice direction. Looks almost like a Duplicolor laquer. I have a close color to that.
Well done!

Another nice early Modified - something about those brass chassis builds that just set off these cars perfectly, plus they are sturdy and can take a shot.
Nice period car that you will be able to run and race. Like the gold frame and the body color as well.
