I chopped the top and trimmed the chassis. Unfortunately the resin was too brittle to separate the rear window arch from the roof, as I had hoped to save it. I may attach a new rear window arch to the eventual rollcage bar. I also had to cut off the top of the front window frame with the roof.

As feared, there are bad tire clearance issues. I installed the smallest (6mm) Yellow Dog tires, and they don't come close to being inside the fender on the side opposite the gear. The width limitation is set by the motor, so even trimming the chassis isnt going to provide much additional room to work with. I may be able to get more room by mounting the chassis off-center and cutting away the unnecessary material on the inside of the wheel hubs.


I thought about cutting into the chassis to mount the motor in-line, but that would create a huge conflict with the seat and driver.
