After running my Scalextric Mustang in our local club's Trans Am race, I thought that I'd like to build a metal chassis car for the class. Coincidentally, I'd just received a loaner AMT Ford Ranchero to make a mold from. Bingo! Why not a Ford Falcon bodied car? Yeah, I know, a pick up version is a bit of a stretch but the guys will probably be fine "as long as it's not too fast!".
The body came with decades old brushed on paint and devoid of a grille, bumpers or glass. So after alcohol bath stripping and steel wool rubbing, I've got the body relatively clean and have added front and rear valences and a bed cover to prepare the master.

Chassis's one of my favorites, the long departed BWA adjustable wheelbase jewel.
Stay tuned.
