Very nice! I have the same kit here. Our minds think alike. I even bought a redundant Scaley Cortina to one that I already had because I wanted to use her as a chassis donor. You are right about that Scaley motor. It is too much. One of Marks MT-SL1's would work nice.

Scalextric wheels look really appropriate.

Chassis has a pretty narrow track so it'll need some weight for running well on wood.
