Chaparral 2D

Postby cagee13 » Fri Jul 11, 2014 9:56 am

This is a quick build I did in preparation of Razorjon's open house this weekend. I knocked this one out this week. I'm thinking I might lower it a bit more but I'm having to grind out major sections of the interior to get it where I actually want it, but here it is so far. I put a PCS32 chassis under it with all parts being Slot.it

The mounting posts had been cut on mine. It looked as though there should have been three posts.

I've built one of these in the past with a sebring chassis and after this build I feel the body is better suited for the slim can. I had to grind quite a large section out of the interior tray to get this low. It still needs more grinding done to make me feel completely satisfied with the stance.

Even on the original Canadian Strommy chassis, they sat kinda high.sure are nice looking bodies though.
I have several of them on original chassis.with the blue bell motors and modern tires they dont run half bad either.
i always wondered about a sidewinder configuration?
