The rollbar, a bent piece of 3/32" brass rod, is pushfit into drilled 3/32" holes behind the driver figure opening.

My driver figure's just been mock fitted and held with masking tape so I can play with the hoop height. I'll raise it just above the helmet and secure underneath with epoxy. I've done this with one of my Bugeyes and the rollbar actually functions during a tumble.

A little progress.

Primer coat's on. Gave the hoop rollbar some triangulation.

Thinking of a blue finish with a double stripe in yellow. Always liked that on one of the Ninco 356 coupes.

Getting there.

Sprayed on Tamiya Racing Blue on top of Mica Silver. Tone is just what I was hoping for.

Yellow racing stripes and paint details next.

Wow, that is a sweet shade of blue and those flares are outstanding. Sure wish I could get mine to look like those.

Layed down a couple of 3/16" strips of yellow Pactra trim tape. Paint detailed. Applied a coat of protective Finish.

Very pleased with the look and running performance.
