Not the best of days going here. Turned on my dremel and then it promptly turned itself off. So I went to town and picked up a new one. But there is a new HF in town that is closer so I stopped and to a look around and found a sander that might be useful. So I finished sanding down the body with the new sander.Image
Now I'll have to check out Enco and get a more pliable sanding disk.

Got the primer on. Of course that didn't go without and issues, after getting started the paint can sputtered and was out of paint. So another trip to town for primer.

The I rushed it and messed up on the green so I decide to take a couple of cars around the track and take it easy. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. It supposed to be cooler but with a chance of a thunderstorm and rain whatever that stuff is for we haven't seen much around here in weather like that.

I think we've all had days like that!

Sometimes cars are like pets, they can detect when we're a little ruffled and then they play up ;) It's nothing that can't be fixed with a little sanding to get rid of the bumps, paint and sand again to check it's flat, then a final coat of paint and you're good to go.

Image I got my new sander modified, sanded the body again, and laid another coat of green. Now to add some trim paint, windows and interior. I think I'll try to scan and print out a driver for this thing next.

Finally got the windows in but looks like the glue did some running on me. I'll need to clean that up and still need to finish off the interior. I think I'll just model up an interior and scale down one of those CAD guys and place in side after adding a little paint.

I kept the mounting simple, hopefully it holds up ok.

It now weighs in at 95.6 grams, must have been due to the extra coats of spit and mop clear coat.

Looks like I need a defroster on it but that was just the reflection of the light coming through the window. Its a little different to run on the track for it acts a little loose in the back. I'll just have to order some weights from SCC and hopefully get it dialed in. It was happy running on just 10 volts, go figure. Anyway it has been fun and quite an experience. Now to just finish it off and start on a new one.
