Corvette SR2...TLOR proxy build

This car has been built for the "big bore" class in the "The Last open Road" (TLOR) proxy this fall.

It is a mildly modified Ninco body (new driver, and the body has been shot with some semi gloss to tone it down a bit.

The chassis is a slot-it/brass combo, powered by the newish slot-it white endbell 19.5K motor.

PS It stated to rain as I began taking pictures so the clear blobs on the body are raindrops :)

Wow. That is a work of art.

How do you get piano wire to solder to brass, anyway? I know lots of folks do it, but I haven't tried so I don't know if I have the right flux, solder, or temp.

That is a beautiful chassis, Chris. I love how you have changed a four point pod to a three pointer with that extra little piece.

I will be entering that proxy as well, but you have no fear from my cars in the concours department. For the racing, I hope you do, eh?

Thanks, Chris. That is as plain and down to earth as I have seen it so far. I have some pods I picked up recently so I'm going to hit it for my next car, another Mini Austin pickup truck. That is a very small chassis. I've done 4 different kinds of chassis for these little buggers, so this is the next logical step. Thanks again.
