First Chassis Question

Postby swampdog12345 » Sun Nov 16, 2014 12:04 pm

Working on my first brass chassis. Here's my question: should the guide be positioned as far forward from the front axle as the body allows? Or is locating it closer to the axle better? Thanks!

I second that opinion, its all about that triangle for handling, they sure handle better when the guide is as far as you can get it.
I personally like to not be able to see the guide hanging way out the front of the car, but that is just a scale appearance thing.

I like to see the distance from the center of the front axle to the center of the guide post to be in the range of 3/4"-1" on 1/24 chassis. I would expect 1/32 cars to run slightly less, but place the guide as far forward as the body allows.
