I have one sitting in the cupboard.
I havent done much to it except look at the way the rear wheels are positioned in an offset way.....makes me think of the design geniuses that they employ at Scalextric.

I am interested to see what you come up with.

Very nice work on your build. I am always fascinated with car names, especially when the manufacturer uses a name for a car in one country and then uses the same name for a completely different car in another country. In the US the Falcon was Ford's attempt at a compact car. It was sold in the '60's as a compact car. It was also the basis for the Ford Ranchero, a "gentleman's" small pick-up truck - competing with the Chevy El Camino. The car your are modeling is more similar to the US Maverick a mid-size car sold in the '70's.

For those how want to know the XB Falcon is almost the same dimensions as the early 70 ford Torinos here in the states they are based on the same chassie with a little difference here and over there.
To me they are a beautiful car and I'd be pleased to own either one but my favorite is a phase three 351 cleveland and a good old top loader and a 3:90 rear nothin is more sexy to me than that car.

I have one of these on the work bench right now. It's the City Ford livery, the newest red one. The motor offset on the chassis is ridiculous, so I'm moving it over to a more reasonable area. I can't figure out why they put that much offset for the motor. There's plenty of room to even it up. My chassis is in pieces right now. It'll be like a puzzle reassembling it. :)
