Excellent suggestion Harry. Only addition I could suggest; if you run "non mag", attach a magnet to the "cleaning car".....body screws have been known to drop out and live in a slot for a long time before raising their ugly heads.

Neat tip Harry. I suspect it's also a good way to find small parts that were lost on the track such as windshield wipers and mirrors.

Back in the days when I had a plastic track I was running a car around with tape cleaning the track while my son was running one of those crappy Scaley Ford Focus'. I was stopped and he ran into the tape, the focus just flipped on its side, looked like a skit from Benny Hill, we just started cracking up.

El Sucko himself did this on my track AFTER I cleaned it the previous day. Very effective. I was amazed.

I found that painters tape (blue) works better than regular masking tape because it is less sticky and easier for the car to pull around the track but that's just my opinion.
Either way it works like a charm!

Wow! That's all I will say about this.
Just think, you can clean your track and still eat B-B-Q!
What an awesome idea.
Just think of all the energy we are saving!
Thanks for sharing.

Isn't it incredible how simple ideas work best. My Carrera track is inside and I thought fairly clean. I was amazed how dirty it was!

Harry,
Anything that can be dubbed "Lazy Man's . . . . . " is right on my list.
Thanks for sharing as it works very, very well.
