I forgot I had a vacation from work this week until I was reminded. Gotta love a surprise week off! Anyway, I have a few Hawk motors to swap out in my Slot It's so I know what I will be doing one day this week. A project that is long overdue but cant wait to test them all out afterwards. Still need to pick up about 3 more Hawks to finish off the collection.

Now that is a cool line up. After racing on your great track, matching these up will be a blast.

Lee,
I have already done the 956 & the C9. In addition my Alfa T33/3 is also Hawk powered. On wood the powerband is much smoother. I'm sure you will like it.

Why the hawks over the slotits? Is there something a beginner like me should know? I have a few slotits with fly 18k in them for a class we race with 18l motor only but confused as to why you are doing so many then maybe selling the orange bell......

Gameover, I have a smaller track and the 18k hawk motor makes these much more manageable and more fun to me. I'm more into scale racing than speed. Just personal preference more than anything.

For all the motor swappers, how does the Hawk and other lower RPM motors on (I'm assuming) 12 volts compare to the Slot It orange motors at a lower voltage?

I haven't got my hawks yet (in the mail) but my 18 silver fly motor I put in my slot.it Nissan runs nice.

Done yet? Have those suckers ready by Christmas - I'll come over and we can rub paint all day long!
