Well I just bought my first NSR car - a Porsche 917K. Thus far I give the car high marks for just about everything. We all knew that "BUT" was coming, so here it is . . . . .
How to you set the front ride height?
I'm betting the answer will be, "SCC Front Axle Height Adjusters". Am I right?

Those tires are so soft that they are rolling the sidewall under during hard cornering....

If anyone is interested, NSR has some new "EVO" chassis out for the 917 Porsche.
They are:
NSR1424 - Blue (soft) chassis with front axle ride height adjustment
NSR1425 - Black (medium) chassis with front axle ride height adjustment
NSR1426 - White (hard) chassis with front axle ride height adjustment
I found my NSR1424 chassis at Slot Car Corner.

Holy cripe! And I thought the inside of my C6R was filthy! My C6R always ran great. It's held the lap record on my track for almost two years and I wouldn't open it up to change anything. The guys always gave me a hard time about that. Finally took it apart yesterday to prepare it for a race with SCANC and the Atlanta Gang later this month. It looked pretty ugly inside, but not as bad as your 917.
