One more Fly to swat

Hello old friend. Here is a Fly car that came in the fast kit couple years back. Never did much with it and decided someone sort of down on their luck needed it.

Well, he gave it back. It was never ran much and in "great shape" overall.

I slipped on NSR rubber back then to try them. Just as "good" as the stock from where I sit.

Harder than chinese arithmetic. So it's time to chisel them off and get some quality tires on here.

Well, chiseled the tires off. Razor session after a quick sleeve on one wheel. PGT's and a few shims and it is in the break-in rig now.

So far, so good. Keeping it original as possible. Wheels/axles were pretty good so the razor finished them nicely.

Sometimes I replace it. If I can get most of the slop out, I leave it be. This one is fine, so no need in my book.

All done :) Saved all stock parts. I did replace the braid though.

Smooth runner on the old lumber.

Yes Rob...worked out just fine. $4.00 for decent set of tires and about 12 cents in braid :)

I have that very same car, and have never ran it. I'm sure the tires on mine have taken a turn for the worse. I'm almost afraid to look. May have to dig it out. :)

You needed another project right? :)

I shimmed the guide on this one and it tightened it up pretty good.
