Initially I wasn't a big fan of these cars - but since I got the Offy humming they are starting to grow on me, I am waiting on a couple in the mail to give me 4 Cartrix cars. Will use your tips as a guide to playing around with mine. I might have to replace the guide in my Offy, good idea.

I just looked at mine as I did it some years ago.
I did similar but in a different way to the front axle. (Using Chupa Chup stick)
Trued the tires the old fashioned way. Rubbed a bit of liquid on them
We run at 10v and the Cartrix motor was a bit asthmatic so I replaced it with Oz race T spec.
Rear bushings have been given the superglue treatment.
