My first "full build" using D3D components is one of the two Chaparalls I built for this year's inaugural R.O.A.R. Proxy!

The build utilizes the S-Can inline scratch build pod: http://www.devis3ddesigns.com/store/s-c ... ilder-pod/ with the snap in bushing option in the rear and a modified scratch build front carrier: http://www.devis3ddesigns.com/store/front-carrier/ with the push in bushing option for the front half.

Due to the extent that the lower front valence wraps in/under on this body, I really could have used the "Mini" front carrier - but not having one of those on hand, I made due with modifying the standard unit. I removed the original guide pivot point and enlarged the body mount hole behind it to take on this roll. From there I both rounded the front and back cut at a 45 to allow for a full range of motion for the guide flag.
In addition to all of this, I glued a piece of styrene glued to the bottom of the carrier to act as a spacer/support between the guide and the carrier.

Assembly of these component was very simple (two parts are tied together using two small pieces of wire) and fit of bushings, the motor, etc was excellent!

Here are a couple shots of the chassis and completed car (body is a vintage Strombecker unit reworked for use in the proxy).
