Showing the body mount system. I used styrene sheet sanded to the height I wanted and super glued in place.

I simply drilled holes in the chassis. Then held the chassis to the interior by hand and used a pin vise and drilled the holes.

Looks well enough to me.

Just a slight "Daytona Rake". But made sure NOT to slam it on the ground.

Chassis is up and running. Basic mods I used in the Monogram Tuning article except the MT-1 motor is here.
Trimmed away parts of the chassis that was not needed. I looked in the rules....and it didn't say you couldn't :)

The ratio we use here. Seems to work well on our oval, so will see how it works other places. It is smooth running and fun to drive. Hopefully others find the same results.

Fun project. It was a challenge, but actually easier than I thought.
I just needed to stop staring at it and worrying if I was going to ruin something and just light the fires on the Dremel and get after it.

The 11/33 works good. I ran it on my short track and it was perfect. But then again what do you expect from Obiwannharry

Those Gunze kits are nice. They made a few, and need to make a few more. There's plenty of cars from the '50's and '60's they could do. :)

looks the part Harry, good to see one of these kits go to good use. I have the body just about mounted on my 56 ford, will start on forming a windsheild from the orig. next. Then off to the paint shop for a vintage curtis turner peach and white look.

I went to Hobby Link Japan and found a duplicate of my '59 Chevy. Now if I can find someone who has the Buick, I can trade.

The cost, including shipping was $18 US (1680 Yen). All Paypal, very professional. Not bad.

I've used them quite a bit. They are very good, reliable. And everything is packed with the utmost of care.

Harry, that came out great..looks good in the black and gold too. I know those are not usual colors you use so I am glad to see them on that car. ;)

Nice looking build. I'm shocked that you would have used black and gold...I think you and Lee obsess over certain color schemes... ;)
