Not to sound like too much of an old fogey, but it was when we were all falling in love with that Fly T70 that I finally stopped lurking and joined HRW... I think. Its been a while, and I'm getting old. Its still one of my favorite cars and I still dig them out to run now and then. One of my long range projects is to restore what was the best track our group ever had, and I promise you, a Lola will be one of the first cars I test the track with.

Why did you choose to improve the stub axles instead of using a solid/one piece axle?

Nice article. There is just something about the old Fly cars. I really think Slot.it is the benchmark for solid value in a slot car, but I always return to my Flys (Chevrons and Lola T-70s). Fly cars drive with "soul".

Thanks for your reply Goosenapper. I have owned a few Fly classics and seeing those fronts flap around was super surprising.
Independent rotation is better than solid fixed wheels in most cases.
