Project: Cheetah

I started on my Carrera Cheetah project yesterday by getting it ready for paint. I have a lot of upgrades I plan on doing with this car and I will update as I get it done, but I wanted to show how the body is actually 3 separate pieces for anyone that had planned to dissect one of these. There are screws and plastic welds that need to taken care of for it to all come apart.

I was able to get a little more work done on the Cheetah this morning. Slot It 9t pinion and 27t gear along with the B-Nova guide adapter and a Slot It guide. Which in turn allowed for a straight axle in the front. SCC brass bushings in the rear and the stock rear bushings moved up front. K&S rod for axles and 15x7 CB Design insert wheels up front and 15x11 in the rear. Paul Gage tires 22126 on rear and 21103 for the front. More to come....

Got some work done tonight. SCC silicone wire soldered on, Inserts glued in place, B-Nova guide setup, front and rear tires sanded and trued. Decals came in this past week and got those on tonight too. Hopefully with any luck I can spray the clear this week and get it done for the weekend. Almost done...
