ninco kart guide repair

Need some help. The pin on the guide of 1of my ninco karts that controls the steering front wheels snapped. The loacal slot shop does not think th part is available. Anyone know where i can get one or how I can fix? Can you drill into the guide and make a post out of piano wire, or mabe tap it a use nylon 2/56 machine screw that Kadee sells for mounting couplers and trim th top off to fit?

It should work fine. Do you have another one intact to copy? If not, I could take some pictures for you.

The only reason I think you could get into a bind is if the hardness of the machine screw doesn't yield enough under pressure to keep other, more pliable plastic parts protected from breakage.

Yes i can copy my other unit. I appreciate the offer of the photos. Thanks for tne heads up on tbe need to have some flexibility and not transmit to much force into the other parts

Are you looking for guide flags for the Kart? If so I have some and I think you can purchase these as well in a package.
