Decals

Postby Dewman51 » Thu Apr 02, 2015 9:49 am

Does anyone have a way to remove just a specific decal from a car? I have a couple of the same cars and would like to change just the number on one of them to make them a team car with a different number but everything else the same. Thanks for any help.

:text-welcomewave:
I use the alcohol swab pads (you know like before you get a shot) that way you can control the area. Beware though, some paint comes off very easily with the alcohol. Are the numbers "roundels" (meatballs) or just numbers directly on the body? If they are roundels and you can't get them off you could put some fairly opaque ones over the originals and then clear coat with Future.
Again, welcome aboard!

The roundels thing I thought of too -- but these are bare numbers. Actually they are on the scalextric Dodge Challenger. I want to make the #77 into the backup/ team #76 car. Thanks guys.
