I tend to favour a little auto wax on mine. Any of the 'wet look' finishes are good.

Yup! While I don't use the dishwasher, I do take them apart, clean and wax them. Nice shines!

Do you guys keep your slot cars in their plastic cases on shelves Like the Carrera case and Slotit cases ect. or do you just leave them uncovered. Thanks Indybob

Mine are in cases or tubs.

For the record, I never use a dishwasher. Use mild soap like DAWN and lukewarm water by hand. I have seen guys do this and end up with a warped body or glass due to the heat setting they FORGOT to change.

Do it by hand is my suggestion.

And I wax with Meguires gold class. Works great, nice shine.

In this house they do! :) "Loading up the dishwasher" used to mean getting me drunk.

Dang. You took my punchline! LOL! I was all set to name my poison (which, interestingly, was also yours way back when), and everything. I suspect that great minds run in the same gutters, after all.
