Would like to know what year it is , what body ,body's it come

Someone gave me one of those when I was in Vietnam, that would have been in 1969. I shipped the car home when my hitch was up, but I don't recall what body the car had, I sold it about twenty years ago. I checked Bernard's Slot Car Museum and nothing rang a bell with respect to the body.

That light blue body looks like a '61 Ford Falcon Ranchero. I had an AMT static model kit of that car years ago, but have no knowledge if Tamyia used that body too.

Here is a modern edition of the AMT '61 Ranchero...

I haven't some across anything Tamiya ever made in 1/32 scale (except for those Mini windup things). Most of the Tamiya stuff is 1/12. 1/20 or 1/24 scale.

I put the 61 ranchero on it, and it is a 1/24 scale ,in Australia those rancheros are , XL ford falcon ute . thanks.

Possibly still available at Tamiya USA are new body kits made with the 1960's slot car tooling. They are correct for the chassis you have. They ran out of some and raised the price on some, but they were offered at $5 each last year. They had Lola 70's, Mclarens, Porsches, King Cobras, maybe 1 or 2 others.

Thank you both, mattb is there a web site where I can find these bodys I've looked on tamiya USA and can't find any thing??? . olskoolslotz that museums site is great just the information I've been looking for now I know what model's to look for,for a repo body and get it back to sum where near original thanks!!

Found this pretty quick, it may lead to other bodies if they still have them. This is the Mclaren.

I just ordered the T70 and McLaren for $5 each with wheel inserts plus UPS for $5 for both.
