Very cool. The first thing that caught my eye though was that they did recreations of 2 very well known Dale Earnhardt paint schemes but changed the numbers and the sponsors just a little. I wonder who wanted more of a royalty than they were willing to pay, Chevrolet or Richard Childress.. With that said I think I need these cars. Hopefully they will be sold individually.

Nice job on the videos. Will the Scalextric guardrails work with the banked curves or will they need to be flat?

I love the 80s era of NASCAR and will most likely be getting this set.

Have no idea on the guardrails. Did not have any to install, so cannot comment there.

I will be using the turn borders to complete the set for the table I will build soon. So actually, the absence of the rails is not a big deal to me personally. But they need to be included for the newcomer.

Really informative videos.

I haven't bought a plastic track set in a dozen years or so, but am tempted for the cars.

My understanding is that these set cars will not be available as singles.

So the power base might be of slight interest. Long gone is the old converting AC to DC from Scalextric. This powerbase is actually wireless, and with some fairly stout strips.



You can hook up an aftermarket supply to it easily. Yet unless you change controllers, not much benefit. But I did hook up one and worked without issue.

I think that the new transformer with added amp output is an ideal configuration for the newcomer.
