I don't know Harry. I love Carrera but the Livery/colors on the car make it look too toy like..

Thanks.
And good feedback Dave. It is a hard combo to pull off. Yellow is a tough color for most makers for some reason.

Great Review Harry. It does look like a smooth runner. Might look into these cars, after all, they are open wheel cars!

Nice. It looks like a cross between F1 and Indy cars.

Nice review as always Harry!
Looking at the your pictures with the body off, shows the reversing board/circuit is a different shape than past analog cars.
This car is going to be released in digital, so I am wondering now if this is going to have a new shaped/sized digital chip
in it. The LED hole for the chip appears to be in the middle winglet.

Thanks.
I don't know the chip design sir. The LED hole is under that bulge on one side as you found.
Maybe Dave K can get us a shot of the board.

I checked and the Carrera Formula E is setup for a new style Carrera 26744 decoder.
Best regards,

I don't see any arrival time for the new 26744 chip and I don't have any information on it besides that it's used in the F-E cars, likely because of the small space inside.
