I recently got these. Is there anyone who has aftermarket rims and tires? Or does anyone know what rims and tires are compatible? MMainly for the mustang.

Carrera's axles are knurled with the wheel pressed on. In a lot of cases you can pull the wheel off without breaking it but then your still stuck with axles that won't accept another wheel unless you somehow grind down the knurling. It's easier to replace the axle with the std 3/32 axle and use aluminum wheels. Paul Gage makes tires for both cars with the factory wheels.

Carrera made several different styles of wheels for the Mustang. (GT350 for one) The wheels come mounted on the axle so you can just swap out the whole assy. IF they are available you can just order them from a dealer. (Hardly anyone stocks axle sets)

LEB Hobbies stocks quite a few of the "stock" Carrera axle sets (https://www.lebhobbies.com/carrera-132- ... 54147f85e6 ). The most important consideration is whether the car has the earlier E100 or later E200 motor set up.

I am pretty sure both those cars have the same tires, those older Carrera wheels true up fine unless one is really bent, I would just true the wheels and replace the tires with PG's and have fun with those 2 bad boys, those cars run great

Okay can I put a axle assembly from say a 67 mustang in my 65. Or even a 2014 mustang. Are all Mustang axle assemblies interchangeable?

I have the 67 Mustang and it's 1 7/8" center of the wheel to center of wheel. Sorry don't have the 65..
