these were acquired on ebay as extras with a purchase a few years ago. I decided to build them as is, rather than strip and repaint them to keep a vintage racer look. Both chassis were built the same with 15x8 SCC steel wheels and Tiny Motors pie crust slicks. Both have front wheels/tires from the junk box. Power is Scaley 20k 050 take out motors, older Scaley black snap in guides, gearing 8-36. Drop arm design for the wheelstands, simple chassis with 1/8' brass tubing for front and rear axle bushings.

Those are fantastic! Period perfect altered's, it dont get any better than that!
would love to see some video of those two squaring off!

Those are perfect cars for the P-BOP series coming up. Using up old bodies and spare parts is the real fun of scratch building. Hope you can join the fun.

They look as if they were perfectly preserved and just drug out of a barn from some where.

Those bodies are old.

I just noticed the 2 piece body split all the way down the middle.....

Gotta be careful with them so they don't break into in a hard crash.

I find "shoe goo" loaded up inside bodies such as this does the trick to hold them solidly together.....

I can't quit looking at these cars!!!!

I remember seeing this kind of stuff at the drag strip every weekend when I was knee high when my Dad and Uncle raced!

Brings back great memories!!!!

I have the same two cars plus a slingshot dragster to go with them . I run across them on occasion in my archives . It's inspiring seeing this fantastic build .

What is the P-Bop series mentioned ?

Those are very cool, man.
You definitely did the right thing leaving the period finish and decals on the bodies.
