Auto World slot car drag Strip for Hot Wheels???

That being said,on the HO board we have been remembering some of the cool stuff we had as kids,including Hot Wheels ..
With the AW drag sets and parts becoming fairly cheap I found my self with some extra gates..
After remembering some of the fun we had with these as youngsters,I thought we would try this.Pretty simple to build,a couple of boards,hinge,two vintage HW release gates,some ol' HW track and 4 holes drilled in the track .
We made this where the start gate and Christmas tree lift off of the Blue board.They in turn fold up.Easy to store.Had the wife help me try it out..FUN :D
Cheap FUN. The AW gates can still be used for slots..I know,I haven't grown up and hope not to.
A simple build for maybe you and your kids to have some fun on. :)
Who knows may make them want to drag race some slots....
