Hey Ted,
Go 1/24 mate, heaps of options then :)
1/24th scale drags are the biggest growth section of the hobby now in Queensland, bigger than Ben Hur!
New commercial shop going in at Caboolture on the northside of Brisbane, featuring a drag strip, things are starting to get pretty darned good :)

Shot Gunny Dave ,
A drag strip for the DRIVEWAY or Garage would be very easy to build . Make it sectional and set it up for those special drag race INVITATIONALS .
Get your local "gear heads" interested and build a few . Then , once a month or whatever feels good , have an INVITATIONAL race . Carry it off to your local car cruise to garn prospected racers .
You can run Flash Light starts and Spotter finish lines for starters . There is true heads up action and most of all "FUN" .
