L.O.G.(or Land of Giants) Drag-A-Way ,is a subsidiary of L.O.G. Speedway, my Dirttrack (HO Scale).
Anyway, although I have posted a few pix of my Drag Cars in my "Low Budget Race Team" Thread in the HO section, I thought I'd gather a few of the pix together and post them here as well.
BTW- I don't have a Fancy Dragstrip, and it's not one of those Auto World jobs, it's using Marchon Track actually, but is a full 1/4 mile in 1/64 scale. And at 28 feet(total), includes a nice shut down area as well. The kicker is, this Dragstrip is on the floor of my Slot Cave, and the the 2nd kicker is, some of the photos you'll see below are Not of my actual running Dragstrip, but were just set up(Staged) photos for artistic purposes, kinda like a Diorama :)
The original idea for my Dragstrip was for Test and Tune purposes for my faster builds, and sometimes for some fun headsup racing when buddies drop by, nothing fancy. Anyway, enough of my words, and on with the pix....

FYI- Mr. Irish is modeled as a Tribute Build to a REAL 1:1 custom '40 Chevy Gasser that I grew up around in my old Hometown.

(For Real)Back in the 70's I was a Teenager n N.J., and used to go almost every Sunday to Englishtown Raceway Park. In the early 70's at the Summer Nationals, I saw Jungle Jim, and met Pam Hardy in the Pits (she was wearing a See-thru Fish Net top), and I became an Instant Fan ;) So thats why I had to have the Following F/C...

That Tycopro roadster is sweet!

Thanks for sharing the pics!

I had a 1:1 '39 Pontiac coupe years ago that looked a lot like that Mr Irish's coupe.

Unfortunately mine was an old race car also I had bought at a swap meet years ago but it was so rough I was never really able to do much with it and passed it along to someone else.

Nice looking Rides!!Those little drag strips are fun.I see that the AW drag strip is getting pretty cheap now as more folks are selling some. The working tree really adds to the fun if you ever decide to try one out.
Thanks for the pictures.

Nice job, Ralph. It's good to see people actually racing "collectable", unmodified cars. A pair of silicones and away we go!
Always a pleasure. Are you able to attend the big model/slot show in Morgantown, PA next Sunday?
It would be nice to speak in to you person. -- Ernie
