Charlestown, NH - Smith Scale Speedway Race Results 06/02
Posted: Sun Jun 02, 2013 6:56 pmIt was a crazy day, with regular Larry Swift missing, former repeat winner Luis Smith racing again, and the Boss racing a cab. Steve Smith drove a 63 Checker in the Bomber race. All the fastest cars kept getting caught in on-track incidents, and Steve coasted toa clear victory. While everyone thought the taxi was fast, a look back at some ARCA scores showed that it wouldn't have won half of those races. In the Midgets, Luis Smith fished second to reigning champ Jeremy Blood. if Luis continues to race, this will get interesting. Steve Smith survived a wreckfest in the Late Models to come home first with his antique Buick.
Personal note - I won the pro Stocks today. While I drove a good race, I know that it wasn't good enough to beat Frank if he was still with us. Next race, we'll all be running Frank Gibbs tribute decals.
