I have been working on this car for awhile now, due to work I have not had much time to get it finished but it is getting there slowly. Only a few things left to do and I will update with parts etc. once its finished, but here is a teaser of how it stands at the moment.

Thanks guys, like I said still a few minor details to complete it but its almost there.

As for the number, I couldn't get the #28 like what was on the car so I chose the #17 which is actually my birthday so it does have a little significance.

Oh yeah, nothing like some classic Rush to make the workday go by...Peart is such a genius and I could just sit and watch him on drums for hours. I have said it before but he is the master when it comes to drums there is nobody else even in the same league.

Ok guys, I was able to finish this up the past couple mornings before work. As most of you know this car was based off the Cuda in my avatar. I started off with a SCX Cuda, Once I hogged out the fenders I decided to use the SCC Steelies in 15x11 with Paul Gage tires (22126) I changed out the rear axle with 3/32 drill blank and used a Slot It 27t crown. On the front I used SCC brass bushings with drill blank for the axle along with SCC axle spacers. For the grille I cut out each side and filed it smooth, taped off the front bumper and painted the rest flat black. For the grille openings I used micro screen I got from Mark at Derby City and painted it flat silver along with the headlights. I also used this screen for the taillight openings. I painted the roll bar white, repainted the driver and cut off the rear quarter windows. The rear spoiler was the biggest challenge, I had planned to use thin plastic but after talking to Harry he told me about using a playing card. This worked out perfectly so I cut it to fit and painted it silver. For decals I couldn't find the #28 like I wanted so I decided to use #17 from a Matt Kenseth decal sheet, the Plymouth and Hoosier tire decals are from Pattos and the Hurst were just spares that I had, again not what I wanted but couldn't find the Hurst that matched the car. (I really need to learn how to make my own decals) The paint is Krylon satin burgundy and Krylon flat black for the hood, While not a perfect match to the car I was copying it is close enough for me and I really like how it came out.
