Pardon my complete ignorance on anything to do with welding, but how the heck do you fabricate nerf bars without burning your fingertips off. I cut up some pieces of pretinned copper wire to make a set of nerf bars and I just kept staring at them trying to figure out how to actually accomplish the task.

Well, after several very clumsy attempts with no success, I figured I'd better ask before I accidently branded myself! :angry-cussingblack:

Oh, I thought we were talking about the places Jenny goes to, to drink.

Old timey mag wheel balancing weights work well to hold the pieces in place while soldering them together.

Beside's roach clip's try taping the parts to a flat surface,then solder.

Cheater

I use a small flat blade screwdriver with a notch cut in the tip. It holds those round parts nice and tight, exactly where I want them, until the solder cools down. Just don't solder the screwdriver to the chassis..
