Quick question maybe some of you can help with. Are the rear axle holes lower (closer to ground) on the womp chassis in comparison to sprints plus? Ive noticed this on my chassis that i am able to use smaller diameter rear tires on my womps. Just wondering if this is standard or it just worked out that way on the chassis i have. I only ask because im building midgets and want smaller tires and trying to decide between the two chassis. Thanks

Yes, there is a difference. The bushing holes in the Sprint Plus are "higher" than the Womp, which is why you need larger tires when using the Sprint Plus chassis in order to have ground clearance.

If it's legal where you race, there are some ways a rear axle height can be raised or lowered. JK sold offset 1/4" dia. bushings for both 3/32" & 1/8" axles too, but they might not still be available.

JVL, a new company, has come out with a chassis similar to the Sprints Plus except that the wheelbase is adjustable, and the rear axle holes are the same height as a womp. He should be set up to sell this week.

Thanks! We think these have great potential, and there has not been a new chassis in this size for decades.

LVJ is up and running. The rear takes standard oilites for 1/4 holes, and the rear axle height is the same as a womp.
LVJ is at

People like 4 holes? Doesn't look like much material for having more holes. With the demise of the 16D, I rarely use motor screws. We race FK130s, so I always just hot glue them in.

I don't know why the hawk and falcon only have 1 screw hole to fit the womp style chassis.....
Steve I just ordered one of those chassis from you.....
Do you race the wing sprints? If not, I will build you one free to check out.....

We don't, but I want to. I am trying to drag the guys to more realistic looking cars this year. Our Sprints are going to be different. I have patterns for side boards, and molds for separate hood and tail tanks. The bars and wings are what I'm lacking.
Thanks for that offer! I will send you some stuff for it.
