An older mold, but the change from inline to anglewinder chassis had me interested.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Detail level is more than enough for my taste. Body is still only 23 grams with a total of 84 with chassis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although I prefer an inline, it made sense to change to this chassis. Many advanced racers prefer it and for good reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Some enthusiasts are not impressed with the release of an older car, but the choice by Slot.it was welcome here. We need to remember that new racers are joining our ranks all the time. Giving them the chance to have this model with an all new chassis is actually a refreshing approach compared to the normal “rehash” releases by some other brands.<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing I was not that pleased with were the front wheels. These have a very large amount of flash molding that caused a fair amount of deformity for the front tires. I hope this isn’t a new approach by Slot.it because not many racers are going to welcome it. Especially when other releases are still smooth and true.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was also an excess of side to side freeplay. I managed to shim it easily enough though.<\/span><\/p>\n

I also removed the caps off the axle adjustment bulkheads and replaced with SCC oval point screws from the bottom. With the height of my braid on the track, I didn’t bother with any screws on top as the axle set almost perfectly as is.<\/span><\/p>\n

My final touch was Quick Slicks silicone tires. My local group made the change and the firm compound hooks up very well on my paint surface.<\/span><\/p>\n

All in all a very nice slot car. A little disappointed in the front wheels, but nothing a few minutes of light tuning took care of it. It’s now a fast mover and delivers the fun I expected.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
