As minimal as it may be for the hardcore race enthusiast, I truly appreciate the GULF packaging. Since I like the scheme it simply stands out for me. But I am not alone. Although it was not this car but the prior Porsche, as I stood in the slot aisle looking at my next purchase another customer was doing the same. I then heard: &#8220;Oh wow, GULF!&#8221; &#8220;Man that is just cool. There have been some issues with the Porsche 911 where it might catch the rails or rub the track due to the fully molded chassis. This car was smooth without much sanding of the tires. The stock tires really do not work that well on our surface, but that is easily changed as usual. What it did reveal is a very good platform to tune.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">QUICK PIT STOP<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The rear wheels are identical to the Porsche and the inner rib is slightly smaller in diameter than a standard Slot.it. That means no silicones I have will fit without severe cupping. That&#8217;s ok because I use Paul Gage on most all plastic wheels and they give me the grip I want for our track.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3055\" src=\"https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/merctires-900x524.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"524\" srcset=\"https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/merctires.jpg 900w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/merctires-640x373.jpg 640w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/merctires-768x447.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">And this is really all the model needed for my wood track.
