And Carrera will release this scheme eventually anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Although I welcomed a new mold from Carrera as usual, it wasn&#8217;t all fanfare for me. \u00a0 As a veteran enthusiast I already own several versions of these famous Capri&#8217;s in both Fly and Sideways offerings. So seeing yet another version of it just didn&#8217;t excite me as much as a mold of a model not yet offered in our hobby.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><em><strong>VIDEO REVIEW<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/selH6iuy1vs\" width=\"854\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">On the other hand&#8230;<em>this is a Carrera version.<\/em> For starters the model only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lebhobbies.com\/-p-6964.html?cPath=4_388_485&amp;zenid=6gcgu08vg9p8jrnm23vp7dgqj4\"><strong>cost $31.99 in analog.<\/strong><\/a> That is a far cry from the collector prices Fly versions bring and almost half of what you would lay out for a Sideways offering. \u00a0So for the average home racer on a budget, this release is a very welcome addition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2626\" src=\"http:\/\/www.homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap5.jpg 900w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap5-640x336.jpg 640w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap5-768x404.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2622\" src=\"http:\/\/www.homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"699\" srcset=\"https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap1.jpg 900w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap1-640x497.jpg 640w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap1-768x596.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Overall the car looks just fine to me. Nothing is ever perfect in our hobby and fine scale rivet counters will have their objections. As usual, only you can decide if what you see is good enough for your collection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Detail level satisfies my eyes and so does the high quality finish. Do you notice it? Yes, this car is rather low. That&#8217;s expected and also easily addressed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">The front wheels are independent. Not really excess free-play to worry over in my opinion. These cars vary of course, so yours might need a shim or two.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2631\" src=\"http:\/\/www.homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap7.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"465\" srcset=\"https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap7.jpg 900w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap7-640x331.jpg 640w, https:\/\/homeracingworld.us\/TeamHRW\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/cap7-768x397.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Fans of Carrera see familiar territory. Inline configuration with 9\/27 gearing. Dual magnets for those that enjoy them and a polarity switch for reversing direction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">There are no direct slip on tires for this model YET. I managed to fit a set of Paul Gage on the wheels but not before quite a bit of wheel sanding to reduce the diameter of the inner rib. If doing this doesn&#8217;t scare you off, then PGT 20138LM&#8217;s will work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><em><strong>HOT LAP ACTION<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qaZYOfzR8pc\" width=\"854\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">LAP TIMES:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Average 3.90 with fast lap dipping into the 3.8 range.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">I&#8217;ll take that all day. Runs well with just a tire change and for my home racing that is really all I can ask for.
