This race event is all about the great circle track racers many of us grew up watching.<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nWe have our own versions of these legendary cars here at the Show-Me Speedway in 1\/32nd scale, and we invite YOU to join in the fun!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This event is ran by a different approach than others you might see. <\/strong><\/span>
\nMany “proxy” type races focus on speed\/performance above all else. <\/strong><\/span>
\nSuch is not the case for this event and it’s important you understand that before deciding to enter.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

INTRODUCTION<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1. \u2013\u00a0This is a scale modeling event.\u00a0The actual modeling and appearance of the cars are on equal terms as performance. Almost any racer can make a car go fast. An enthusiast can make them go fast in style.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. \u2013\u00a0This is a ONE TRACK ONLY event.\u00a0This is a simple \u201cFUN RUN\u201d at only our track. Once the race is completed, your models are returned.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. \u2013\u00a0Three Contests \u2013 One Big Fun Run.\u00a0You win by participation. Bragging rights is your reward if you come in first. No official prizes. (Always a surprise though)<\/strong><\/p>\n

4. \u2013\u00a0Entry Fee \u2013 $10.00.\u00a0You can simply\u00a0DONATE HERE<\/a> for these. \u00a0If you are sending from outside the continental USA, we will work with that as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

LIST OF RACE EVENTS<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

SHOW-ME SHAKEDOWN \u2013 Test and Tune<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Held the Friday before the event. We test every model and report live on the forum. If we find any issues with your model, we will contact you and repair if we can. THis way your model will be ready for race day!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBest In Show\u201d<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 The modeling portion of the event where your models will be photographed and a page for them created. Then all the models will be judged by the discerning members of our forum and the results posted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFAST LAP SHOOTOUT\u201d.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Your models will be timed in one lane and the best overall time winner will be posted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Showdown\u201d<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 The cars will be ran in a rotation format. Drivers will be stationary or we swap when we need a break or someone else wants to run. Normally 2 minute heats.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tires will be cleaned (deglazed) using simple sponge material that has a 50% alcohol\/Water mix .<\/p>\n

Performing this between heats simply gives the cars the maximum traction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cA clean tire is a happy tire\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

1\/32 Race Divisions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Sportsman<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The standard full fender body styles.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are combining the older classics with modern late models.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. StrangeBrew Modifieds<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The famous modified series.<\/span><\/p>\n
