Really looking forward to this one! I have hopes for a decent positioning with the J car. The River Run usually is a good indicator as to how the series will go...

The qualy has been run; I have all the results, as well as performance comments on each car and some on-track pics. But, my ISP provider's server is down right mow, so I can't post them. I'll try again later this afternoon/early evening. Sorry for the delay.

OK, I'm back..........at least I think I'm back......well, temporarily anyway...... at least until my ISP's server gods decide to take a coffee break again..........

Here are a couple of shots of the field in the paddock; a nice group of cars:

Here are the Ford "classics":

And here are the GT-40 variants:

The classic Porsches:

And the 917 variants:

The track was cleaned, vac'd and tack cloth cleaned before the start of the qualy runs. Bob ran each car for 10 laps to get used to it (practice run), then another 10 laps for fastest lap. The tires on each car were swiped on a sticky pad once before the start of the practice session and once before the start of the fastest lap qualy run. The cars were run in numerical order; starting with #1 and finishing with #819.

When the smoke cleared, these were your results for the Round #1 qualy:

Thanks Allan. That is a lot of cars to qualify. Early results indicate BARC needs to keep building and testing. Oh darn :D

Wow... Rubber tires and all? There’s some special stuff under the hood. Glad it’s working well here. Hope it continues throughout the series. Thanks Allan and Bob!

Thanks Allan and Bob for qualifying the cars - that's alot of cars to get thru. I'm super happy and pleasantly surprised no. 211 qualified 3rd considering the quality of the front runners and the rest of the field. For a 3 day wonder from concept to putting it in the post, I must have fluked something! Didn't have enough time to dial out the chatter, maybe next yr. However as we all know- qualifying is one thing, racing is another! Good luck to everyone on Sunday. Have a blast Allan!

Wow! Great Photos and reports! One of these days I'm going to remember to reverse the wiring in my track or at least remember to revers wire the guide!
