I have the pre-order in for the wrecker, but it looks like no one even knows there is a tanker coming. I don't want one without the other. I have checked with 12 vendors- nothing. Not even a teaser. Is this one of those silly things where the manufacturer makes a delay to get interest? I hate that. Carrera doesn't do that as far as I know.

I wait to make any announcements about Limited Editions until I have full information... shipping (arrival), price, photos... until I have all this I'm not making any information public because it just stirs up trouble. Because if I cannot answer basic information it's pointless to post info. Now that we're closer to arrival it makes sense.

Also because the Tanker is ONLY an allocated slot car, we decide what quantities dealers will get. So we make it "available" if they want to order but we send the quantities we can based on the amount we get... which is normally VERY small.

Dave makes a good point. The limited editions are so popular and hard to get in the QTY you order that it doesn't make sense to take too many pre-orders. Chances are you won't fill them all and well, that makes the big boys sad. They will sell either way.

I would prefer dealers take NO pre-orders on them because we don't know how many we will get until they arrive. Each year we seem to get slightly less than the previous year.

All this goes to show- It really is best to just ask these questions. Look at all this info, completely unknown and unexpected, that came from my being frustrated by a few hours searching the WWW for any trace of a pre-order site for that tanker. I never would have guessed any of this. Clearly, it just pays to ask. Thanks, guys.
