Agree, the torque and braking on most 180's would make them the choice if running in front is one of your goals. The simple manufacturers 18K rule has a lot of wiggle room I am learning. With some motors turning 22 k and torque ranges from 80- 250 gms/cm
However, after the first race you can get an idea of what cars you are actually racing against, and just have fun watching how your car does against the other similar cars. This TA proxy has a lot of cars and there can be many races within the race itself, and unless the proxy is run using one specific motor, you are going to get motor performances all over the map.
The magnet marshall data was very interesting to see as it is also measuring the grunt of each motor in the field. Even on a wood track the extra grunt means quicker acceleration to the 18K limit.
