Before I snug the last panel down and be ready for filling and paint, I need to get the drivers stations squared away. As you all know six drivers crowded around a PB with only 4 ft. controller cords isn't going to cut it. Drivers stations for SSD amounts to only having a 2.5 mm stereo jack located wherever you want your drivers to be located. Ideally having them dispersed evenly around the table would be best for my track. From reading on the SFI digital board, I learned that common 2.5mm stereo extension cords will work with the SSD PB and controllers. One drawback mentioned is that the insulating body at the male end of the cord is often larger than the Scaley cord which causes it to foul with the plastic housing of the PB. This can be rectified by sanding or cutting down the plastic insulator on the cord jack with a pencil sharpener. I found the cords needed on Ebay pretty cheap. I ordered two 6 ft. cords and two 12 ft cords. I got all four cords from two different suppliers for under $14 shipped. This will allow me to set up drivers mid way down the each side of my 6X10 ft. table and two drivers one each at the far corners. The other two controllers will simply plug into the PB to cover the other two corners of the table. The cords will be run along two wood structural members running lengthwise on the underside of the table.
