Dave has a point, Zack - but as you point out, it's difficult to slice a small pie into many pieces.
Last year's top 3 cars, all ran the Policar motor - two in SW/AW configurations and one as an IL. You had to get down to the 4h place car before the Hawk motors started showing up. The rpm advantage with the Policar motor was real; even with the lower torque and with heavier, brass-chassis cars.
So, not an easy question to answer. The Production cars all sit higher than the Modifieds - just the nature of a street car vs. a purpose-built racer.
I, too, have been thinking that we will probably see a lot more Policar motors this season.
