Same as with decorating inside a house, I think Martha Stewart says "less is more", Same goes with my Ho race track also.

Less is more and the more simplistic the better in regards to scenery. It is very race able without getting in the way plus the costs are very minimal also!

Simple but elegant!!!

I'm inspired. I will make a couple of these small footprint tracks and simply stand them on edge when not in use. Thanks again for the dimensions.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike!

Yes that was my intention was to inspire more members of the board here to build these simple but fun filled tracks!

There is a lot of action packed into a small 4 lane track such as this.

I may eventually build another small 2 lane road course with the extra track I have laying around.

Plus they do stand up nicely against the wall when not in use.

I was very inspired by all the pics in your photo album website also.

You do quite nice track building work!

Plus I see you were into both scales your self also.....

I can't wait to see your future small track builds!!!

Thank you again for the nice comments about my track!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the good words Wayne. Yeah, I hope to always inspire others to try building their own tracks in 1/32. Me, I plan to redo my original 1/32 track but with some changes that I am dreaming up. Sadly, I have no room to store my current HO track so I have to either sell it or wrap it up in plastic and figure out a way to store it. I really miss sectional HO track and have enough to make both "The Brickyard" and the Wacky Figure 8 (flat four lane intersection) all in original Atlas track. I also have a couple of Aurora Sand Dunes orange track sets so I want to make use of that too. So, when I see tracks like yours and "The Dragons Tail", I get to thinking, yes, I can do that too. And not have it interfere with my love of 1/32 wood tracks. Right now, my HO track is preventing me from having a 1/32 track to race on.

Here's the Brickyard:

and my current HO track that will be put away or sold...

I'll have to update my webpage blog to include these HO builds and the upcoming third 1/32 track build.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike!

You have the best of all worlds in both scales of slots it sounds......

You never have enough room it seems though?

Like you my 1/32 track is land locked between 3 walls in a 4 x 12 area and my Ho track just leans against the basement wall when not in use.

I like your Brickyard track design for sure in the small area!

Your Ho track in the pic is awesome and I have looked at it many times in your previous posts. I would be hard pressed to get rid of it though. That is one sweet track!

Space issues can always be worked around. You just have to be determined and creative to do so!

I look forward to seeing your future track builds!
